Configuring F-Secure to work with Simplify Media

The first time you run Simplify Media, F-Secure Internet Security should prompt you to 'allow' or 'deny' Simplify Media. You may also receive a similar prompt for the Bonjour service—If you intend on listening to Simplify Media libraries using iTunes or Winamp on this machine, you should 'allow' the Bonjour service as well.

If you do not receive a prompt to 'allow' Simplify Media, you should be able to do the following to manually add the entry in F-Secure:

  1. Open F-Secure Internet Security
  2. Proceed to 'Internet Shield'
  3. Click on 'Application Control'
  4. Click on the 'Applications tab'
  5. Browse and select Simplify Media
  6. Set to allow outbound and inbound connections

Note: We have had a few reports that some could access their Simplify Media libraries in iTunes and select a song to play, but the audio would not play. This was resolved by unblocking the Bonjour service in F-Secure.
